SAN JOSE – The number of people infected with a new type of coronavirus in Costa Rica has risen to nine, Reuters reports citing local health ministry data.
Of the nine cases, three are US citizens. One of them is a woman who lives on the territory of Costa Rica, the other two are a married couple who came on vacation. Also in the country 34 people are suspected of becoming infected.
As previously reported, the first case of COVID-19 in Costa Rica was recorded on March 6. Since then, the number of cases has increased to nine people.
