Survey: 43% of Americans support Trump's justification for Senate

Less than half of Americans supported the decision of the US Senate to acquit President Donald Trump in the impeachment case. This on Thursday, February 6, according to a sociological survey conducted by the Ipsos service commissioned by Reuters.

According to a February 5 study, among thousands of Americans, about 43% of respondents support the decision of senators, 41% of the citizens opposed, the rest did not give a definite answer.

At the same time, about 39% of the survey participants agreed with the opinion that the president is innocent, and the Senate made the right decision. About 48% considered themselves to be opponents of this position, and 13% of respondents could not give an answer.

According to the results of the opinion poll, about 43% of respondents adhere to democratic views, and 38% sympathize with the Republicans. 8% of people did not define their political views.

February 4, according to a study by the Gallup Public Opinion Institute, the percentage of people who support Trump was 49%.

On February 5, the Senate acquitted the American president of the impeachment case on two counts of charges in the trial.
