President Trump Answered the Question About Postponing the Date of Elections in the United States Due to a Pandemic

US President Donald Trump said he was not considering postponing the date of the presidential election. He said this during a briefing, reports CNN.

“I never thought about changing the election date,” Trump said. According to him, the date on which the elections are scheduled to take place – November 3 – is a “good number.”

The president also said his opponent, Joseph Biden, never said Trump would try to postpone the election.

Last week, former Vice President and Democratic candidate Joseph Biden said that, in his opinion, Trump will under any pretext try to cancel the upcoming elections. Biden also said that it was necessary to figure out how to make the November elections safe, since no one should risk their lives because of the threat of the coronavirus for the sake of voting.

Donald Trump said earlier that the situation with coronavirus in the US is improving. He specified that all parts of the country are in good shape and “in all respects it is getting better.”

According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University, 988,451 patients with coronavirus infection were found in the United States. 56,245 patients died.
