Mexican Ambassador to Argentina quits after charges of book theft

Mexican Ambassador to Argentina Oscar Ricardo Valero Recio Becerra resigned after being accused of stealing a book about Casanova.

This was reported by Magnews referring to Fox News.

In early December, a video appeared on October 26, in which Besser hides a book under the newspaper and leaves the bookstore. When he left the store, an alarm went off. It is noted that the official allegedly wanted to bring out a book about Giacomo Casanova.

According to local media, on December 10, Besser was spotted stealing shirts at the Duty Free store at Buenos Aires Airport.

The ambassador resigned on December 22. The official reason for dismissal is health problems.

“Ricardo Valero is a wonderful person, he is undergoing neurological treatment, and I wish him a speedy recovery,” the Argentine Foreign Minister wrote.
