Harvey Weinstein Faces New Charge

Los Angeles prosecutors filed a new charge against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. It is related to rape, possibly in May 2010. The victim was interviewed as a witness in October last year. According to media reports, prosecutors continue to seek evidence for other charges.

Weinstein is 68 years old. Recently, a court sentenced him to 23 years in prison. The producer was found guilty of harassment and rape. He is serving a sentence in New York State Prison. It was reported that in conclusion, Weinstein, in a mild form, suffered a coronavirus infection.

Since the fall of 2017, dozens of women have reported harassment and violence by Weinstein. In some incidents, the producer was charged with criminal charges in 2018. Among those who blamed Weinstein are famous actresses Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow and Salma Hayek, but in the end, none of them became a participant in the lawsuit.

Harvey Weinstein – co-founder and former co-chair of the film companies Miramax and Weinstein Co. He produced films that have become widely known, as well as becoming Academy Award winners in various categories. This, in particular, “The English Patient”, “Good Will Hunting”, “Shakespeare in Love”, “The Cider House Rules”, the trilogy “The Lord of the Rings”.
