German Ministry of Health forbids joking about coronavirus

The prohibition of jokes and fictional stories about Covid-19 minimizes the risk that the fight against the virus will be difficult due to incorrect information on this topic.

The German Ministry of Health asks fellow citizens on April 1 to refrain from jokes about coronavirus. This is stated on the page of the German Ministry of Health on Facebook.

“In the current situation, it is crucial that we jointly take care to prevent the spread of false information. Therefore, we ask you to refrain from fictional stories about the theme of coronavirus on April 1 of this year. This minimizes the risk that the fight against the virus will be difficult due to incorrect information on this topic “, the ministry said in a statement.

Note that in Germany now 67,051 people have become ill with the coronavirus.

The number of infections has increased by 4615. The spread of the virus has not changed – yesterday there were more than 4700 infected than in the previous days.

583 people died from COVID-19 – the death toll increased by 128 per day.

Germany has not yet planned a speedy cessation or easing of existing restrictions on the fight against coronavirus.
