In fantastic films, powerful exoskeletons often appear, many times strengthening a person and allowing them to lift superheavy loads. A team of enthusiasts from The Hacksmith YouTube channel created such a device using only those products that can be found in a regular hardware store.
Engineers from The Hacksmith channel use various devices, gadgets and other things from movies, video games and comics, and then create working analogs from them. For one of the latest videos, they were inspired by the legendary film “Alien” directed by Ridley Scott, in which the main character, using an exoskeleton, fought with an alien monster. A similar device was created by bloggers. The exoskeleton can be controlled either remotely using the remote control or from the inside.
The main pride of enthusiasts is hydraulic drives, which are driven by a pair of car batteries. According to the creators of the prototype, the device is able to lift cargo from three to six tons. However, in the video itself, the load did not exceed 300 kilograms.
The authors of the idea did not say whether they would modify the design.
