Coronavirus outbreak delays testing of new iPhone

The American company Apple has extended a ban on trips of engineers to Asian countries, which will delay testing of the new iPhone smartphone model. On March 9, DigiTimes reports this, citing industry sources.

According to the publication, Apple planned to remove restrictions on foreign business trips in March. Due to the ongoing outbreak of coronavirus, this ban was extended until the end of April.

It is noted that this limitation will delay the testing of the developed iPhone model with 5G connectivity. Accordingly, Apple may delay the launch of mass production of new smartphones. Note that the largest manufacturing partner of Apple is the Taiwanese company Foxconn.

Recall that in recent years, Apple has introduced new models of smartphones at a special event in September. It is expected that in 2020 the company from Cupertino will introduce up to six new models.
