Hospital workers in the capital of Thailand, Bangkok, concluded that the condition of those infected with the new coronavirus in China, which killed 304 people, improved significantly after taking medications for HIV and flu. It is reported by Reuters.
It is noted that after taking the anti-HIV drug and large doses of oseltamivir, intended for the treatment of influenza, the patients’ condition improved significantly within 48 hours. Among them was a 70-year-old Chinese woman from Wuhan, in whom the coronavirus was fixed for 10 days in a row.
At the same time, doctors specified that they do not yet have the final method of treating coronavirus.
“The condition of the 70-year-old woman is satisfactory, but we need additional studies to determine whether this treatment option can be standard,” the doctors said.
Note that in Thailand, a total of 19 cases of infection with the new Chinese coronavirus were recorded. Eight patients have already recovered.
As MAGNEWS previously reported, experts from the Chinese city of Wuxi previously presented the public with an express test to detect the deadly coronavirus.
